Dive into the world of pickles and ferments, the health benefits, techniques and of course: learn to make a set of pickles and start ferments yourself! These bubbly, tangy and colorful condiments are healthy and deliver lively contributions to any meal. Picnic’s love for fermenting and pickling started accidentally around 2009 as a pass time when broken knees were re-educated. By 2015 we found ourselves on national television, delivering to over 40 delicacy stores and peddling delicacy markets. To this day our kitchen welcomes you with a lively symphony of brining pickles and bubbling ferments. This Picnic session will enable you to find your own way to enliven your kitchen, your meals and your gut!
What do you make?
– You will make 2 quick pickles, 1 chutney and start two ferments.
– You will learn about the basic techniques and chemistry of ferments and pickles.
– You will get tips on how to combine pickles and ferments with meals.
Additional info
Entry level: beginner and experienced cooks alike are welcome to explore the lively world of pickles and ferments.
This is a 4 hour session with minimum 2 and maximum 6 participants.
Your journey into pickles & ferments starts 14.00 PM and will finish around 18.00h.
As with every Picnic en Provence session you will take home the recipe booklet including tips and resources.
